Order of a portrait

1^ère étape : choisir une bonne photo

1^st step: To choose a good picture

En premier lieu, choisissez une photo de bonne qualité (bien nette et de haute résolution si photo numérique) des ou de la personne (ou animal, ou paysage) que vous voulez que je  représente. La photo peut être numérique  (dans ce cas elle me sera envoyée par mail) ou argentique (dans ce cas elle me sera envoyée par lettre). Joignez avec la photo le formulaire de commande sur lequel vous aurez précisé entre autre le format souhaité.

First of all, choose a good picture (very clear and with a high digital resolution) of the person(s) (or animal or landscape) you want me to represent. The picture can be digital (in that case, it will be sent e-mail) or a conventional photography (in that case, it will be sent by letter). Add to the picture the order form in which you'll specify (among other things) the size you wish.

Pour un portrait réunissant plusieurs personnes (ou animaux), un montage photo est possible à partir de photos des différents sujets avant d'attaquer le portrait.

For a portrait bringing together several persons (or animals), a montage can be made with pictures of different subjects before I start the portrait.

Dans un souci de droit d'auteur, choisissez si possible une photo personnelle ou d'un photographe dont vous avez obtenu l'autorisation. Pour le portrait d'une célébrité, je vous conseille de fouiller dans les photos de fans. Il est en effet beaucoup plus simple de les contacter et d'obtenir leur autorisation.

Due to copyright issues, if possible choose a personal picture or a picture from a photographer who gave you his/her approval. As for a celebrity portrait, I suggest you to look into the fans pictures. Indeed, it is much simpler to contact them to get their approval.

2^ème étape : réalisation du tableau

2^nd step: The making of the painting

Une fois mis d'accord sur le choix des photos ou montages-photo, la taille du tableau et autres détails, je commencerai le portrait dès réception d'un acompte de 50%  du prix du tableau.

Once we agreed on the pictures choice or the photos montage, the size of the painting and other details, I will start the portrait as soon as I receive an advance payment of 50% of the painting price.

Comptez minimum 2 semaines de travail en moyenne pour un tableau . Cela peut varier suivant la taille de l'œuvre et sa difficulté. Une fois le tableau terminé, je vous enverrai une photo de celui-ci par mail,  vous me ferez savoir alors s'il vous convient ou si vous souhaitez des éventuelles retouches.

Count at least an average of 2 weeks of work for a painting. It can change depending on the size of the work and its difficulty. Once the painting is over, I will send you a picture of it by e-mail. You will let me know if you are satisfied or if you want me to do some eventual corrections.

3^ème étape : l'envoie du tableau

3^rd step: The sending of the painting

Once you are completely satisfied with the work, you will send me the payment of the painting (adding the shipping costs if necessary). As soon as I receive it, I will send you the painting wrapped in manila and in a cushioning carton well packaged.

Pour information, j'envoie mes tableaux en colissimo recommandé, avec une assurance, pour un maximum de sécurité. (FDP: 10€ pour la France, 30€ pour l'international, comptez entre 10 et 15 jours pour l'envoie)

For your information, I send my paintings in Colissimo recommended,  with insurance for a maximum level of security. (about 30€ /39$  to international , allow  10 to 15 days for delivery)

 An artist keeps all the copyrights for his/her work (author right). The purchase of a work doesn't allow its reproduction (poster, postcard…). Nevertheless, if you do not wish to have the portrait you've order appearing on the website, don't hesitate to let me know.
